A review about DJI Mini 2 Fly More Combo in a Sri Lankan perspective. I bought the DJI Mini 2 Fly More Combo from CameraLK in May 2021. Latest price for DJI Drones can be found here. I’ve flown the drone many times in the past month and I loved the experience. While the lack of obstacle avoidance is bit disappointing it will help the beginners to practice more solely relying on their skills.

Review
Packed with powerful features from DJI family and incredible camera which can shoot 12MP still images and 4K/30fps video DJI Mini 2 offers much more value to it’s price (and weight).
This drone, once turned on will take couple of mins to get GPS lock. I was getting around 15 satellites connected consistently which is good to update the home point. It is pretty easy to launch the drone while holding it in hand when you have some practice. Each battery lasts around 30 mins which is as advertised.
Pro tip
You have to charge each battery individually before flying for the first time using the drone to activate them.
Always make sure to have WiFi or 4G support to your mobile phone. This is important to enable the map view in the DJI FLy app, which can help you to navigate when the drone is out of your sight. Trust me it’s very easy to loose the sight of the drone as it is very small in size. Map view will always show the shortest path to the home point, which is very handy if you are low on battery.
